Pre-heat the oven. Do not use a
microwave.
CONVENTIONAL OVEN: Set to bake at 200°F / 90°C.
CONVECTION OVEN: Start at 175°F / 80°C.
STEP 2
Remove the factory insole from your
footwear.
If the insole is glued in, leave it in place.
STEP 3
If necessary, trim the footbed to fit.
SOLE Custom footbeds should not require trimming to fit in most types of
footwear. However, if they do, trim your footbeds to exactly the right
size, using your old insole as a guide. WARNING: Only trim the toe end &
do not cut them too short!
STEP 4
Place the footbeds directly on the oven
rack for 2 minutes, or until the opti-therm indicator turns black.
If it has not turned black after 3 minutes, remove the footbeds from the
oven; they will be ready to mold.
STEP 5
Immediately put the footbeds back into
your footwear.
Ensure they are sitting flat in your shoes and the insole has not
bunched up.
STEP 6
Step into your footwear.
Make sure your heels are against the back of the shoes and lace them up.
As a guide, your knee cap should be directly over the top of your second
toe.
STEP 7
Stand up straight with your feet
shoulder-width apart and your toes pointed forward
for 2 minutes.
Step 8.
Your body may need to adjust to this new
level of support. Therefore, it is recommended that you break in the fit
over a three-day period, slowly increasing the time you wear your SOLE
Custom Footbeds each day. If you feel you need an additional adjustment
to the fit after three days, repeat steps 1 through 7.
